Program
1st Day
- Arrival in Macedo de Cavaleiros. Guided tour of the town, where you will discover the cultural heritage of the town such as the Castelo de Balsamão or the Santuário do Santo Ambrósio.
- Lunch at “Rodízio” restaurant where you can taste typical products of the area such as terrincho lamb.
- Dinner at “Brasa” restaurant, based on typical local products such as Cabrito Transmontano or Queijo de Cabra Transmontano.
- Accommodation at Hotel Muchacho.
2nd Day
- Breakfast.
- Full-day guided visit to the Terras de Covaleiros Geopark.
- Lunch with typical products of the area such as the Mel de Terra Quente or the Castanha da Terra Fría.
- Dinner at “Rodízio” restaurant, made with typical products of the area such as Pão de Curopos.
- Accommodation at Hotel Muchacho.
3rd Day
- Breakfast.
- Arrival in Vila Nova de Foz Côa. Town located approximately 64 km from Macedo de Cavaleiros.
- Guided tour of the town, where you will get to know the cultural heritage of the town such as the Igreja Matriz de Vila Nova de Foz Côa or the Castelo Melhor.
- Lunch at “Aldeia Douro” restaurant, where you can taste typical products of the area such as maronesa meat or the queijo trerrencho.
- Dinner at “Ta-Se Bem” restaurant, tasting typical local products such as terrincho lamb or barroso mel.
- Accommodation at Casa do Tablado.
4th Day
- Breakfast.
- Full day excursion to the Vale do Côa Archaeological Park. Place where you can see Paleolithic art, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
- Lunch with typical products of the area such as the Almendôa Douro or the Mel da Terra Quente.
- Dinner at “Aldeia Douro” restaurant, where you can taste typical products of the area such as maronesa meat or the queijo trerrencho.
- Accommodation at Casa do Tablado.
5th Day
- Breakfast.
- Arrival in Vinhais. Town located approximately 100 km from Vila Nova de Foz Côa.
- Guided tour of the town, where you will learn about the Cultural Heritage of the town such as the Castle or the Igreja e Convento de São Francisco.
- Lunch at “O Manel “restaurant, based on typical local products such as kid.
- Dinner at “O Silva” restaurant, where you can taste typical products of the area such as Pão de Curopos or Batata de Trás-Os-Montes.
- Accommodation at Casa do Didi.
6th Day
- Breakfast.
- Visit to the Praia Fluvial de Soeira.
- Lunch with typical products of the area such as Fumeiro de Vinhais.
- Free afternoon.
- Dinner at “O Manel” restaurant, where you can taste typical local products such as kid.
- Accommodation at Casa do Didi.
7th Day
- Breakfast.
- Return to the city of origin.
